Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician and ensure our outside facilities operate at maximum efficiency. You'll be responsible for maintaining and constructing outside plant facilities, working with a team to provide top-notch service.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant, including aerial, underground, submarine, and buried cables
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, and lifting items not exceeding 100 lbs
Working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state drivers license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree
2 or more years of relevant work experience
