Job Description:
Join Lee Health Health Park Medical Center as a Travel CVOR RN and bring your expertise to a dynamic surgical environment. This position involves working 10-hour days with flexible start times, providing opportunities for work-life balance. As a CVOR RN, you will be responsible for circulating and scrubbing in cardiac surgeries, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. On-call coverage is required to support emergent procedures and any staffing needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, attention to detail, and a dedicated approach to cardiovascular surgical nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Circulating and scrubbing in cardiovascular surgeries within the CVOR.
• Preparing the surgical environment, verifying equipment, and ensuring readiness for procedures.
• Monitoring patient status before, during, and after surgeries, providing vigilant patient care.
• Collaborating with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintaining a sterile field and adhering to infection control protocols.
• Documenting procedures accurately in the EMR system (Epic).
• Responding to call requirements swiftly and professionally to support ongoing surgical needs.

Certifications and Licenses:

• Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• Must have scrub and circulate experience within a CVOR setting.
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred.

What You Bring:

• A minimum of two years of recent CVOR nursing experience, demonstrating proficiency in cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
• Proven ability to circulate and scrub effectively in the CVOR environment.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, surgical instrumentation, and sterile techniques.
• Ability to adapt to variable schedules, including on-call responsibilities, with flexibility and professionalism.
• Experience working with Epic EMR or similar electronic systems.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach to patient care.
• Self-motivation and resilience to thrive in a travel nursing position across different healthcare settings.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• At least 2+ years working specifically within a CVOR.
• Previous travel nursing experience in a high-volume cardiac surgery environment is highly advantageous.
