Key Responsibilities
Obtain accurate and updated patient information
Perform insurance verification on the date of service
Upload patient ID and insurance cards
File and maintain medical records
Schedule and confirm appointments
Provide effective communication to patients and healthcare professionals
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and OSHA requirements
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of experience in a medical office performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification, collecting co-pays, and maintaining medical records
Intermediate level of computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Access to reliable transportation and the ability to travel 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Epic EMR software
Bilingual in Spanish and English
