Job Description

Join our team as an On-Call Respiratory Care Practitioner, where you'll provide critical respiratory care interventions to patients of all ages. You'll work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care while promoting patient education and self-management of chronic respiratory conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Provide therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care interventions
Conduct cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and manage life-support equipment
Perform ordered respiratory therapeutic interventions
Conduct diagnostic monitoring of cardio-pulmonary and metabolic status
Ensure availability of equipment and supplies for patient care
Educate and guide patients and families about respiratory health

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Care program
High school diploma or GED
Respiratory Therapist Certificate OR Registered Respiratory Therapist Certificate from National Board of Respiratory Care
Respiratory Care Practitioner License (Oregon)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support required at hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 2 months of hire
Basic Life Support required at hire
Patient assessment and basic respiratory care procedures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Two (2) years ICU experience
Two (2) years experience in patient health education
Minimum of one (1) year post graduation experience with basic skills in adult and neonatal ventilator management
Thorough knowledge of neonatal and adult ventilator management theory
Knowledge of gas monitoring including interpretation and monitoring of capnography
