Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you will lead a dedicated team to provide high-quality veterinary care in underserved communities. You will play a vital role in enhancing animal welfare and mentoring fellow veterinarians while ensuring a positive and effective clinic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s CVC
Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and medical protocols
Support a positive work culture through feedback and evaluation
Provide veterinary care including spay/neuter procedures
Diagnose and treat post-surgical complications
Participate in administrative tasks such as scheduling and meetings
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Leadership abilities in challenging situations
Ability to implement and teach new protocols
Experience in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Excellent work attendance record
Fear Free® Shelter certification within 60 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Previous people management experience
