Key Responsibilities
Provide health and wellness opportunities for Army Soldiers, retirees, and their families
Establish and direct physical medicine and rehabilitation programs
Train and mentor other medical personnel
Lead Force Health Protection efforts
Assess, mitigate, and communicate health threats
Direct and oversee public health core functions: assessment, policy development, and assurance
Required Qualifications
U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy
Completion of at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
Completion of a training program in preventive medicine
Permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates (for foreign graduates)
