Job Description
Join Zen Educate as a Teacher Aide to support special education students in a meaningful role. Assist teachers in fostering a nurturing environment and implementing educational plans while making a real difference in students' lives.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Provide one-on-one or small group support using positive reinforcement
Collaborate with teachers to maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
Work closely with teachers, parents, and staff for effective student support
Assist with personal care or hygiene as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations
English proficiency
U.S. work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Special Education, particularly with moderate to severe behaviors
ABA Therapy experience
Behavior Technician experience
Experience with AAC Devices
Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies
CPR and First Aid certification
CPI or Pro Act Training
