Key Responsibilities
Operate radiology equipment to produce images of specified body areas
Instruct patients regarding imaging procedures
Position patients and perform mammographic and radiographic procedures
Review images for accuracy and technical quality
Assist with procedures such as biopsies and provide patient education
Utilize Radiology Information System (RIS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Follow established quality assurance/quality control programs
Maintain inventory of supplies
Communicate effectively with patients and staff
Exercise clinical judgment within scope of practice
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of a two-year Radiologic Technology training program
Mammography Technologist certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Radiologic Technologist certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Ability to operate radiologic equipment
Excellent customer service skills
Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
Six months of experience as a radiologic technologist/mammographer
