Job Description

Join Sysco's World Class Sales Team as a Sales Representative, where you'll be responsible for building relationships and promoting products in the Carterville, Carbondale & Marion, IL areas. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts
  • Seek and qualify prospects
  • Research customer business needs and develop a mix of products and services
  • Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers
  • Answer customers' questions about products and services
  • Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts
  • Manage deliveries and troubleshoot order process issues
  • Participate in company functions, promotions, customer visits, and events
  • Attend sales and district meetings
  • Assist with the training of new employees
  • Perform administrative duties related to sales

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline
  • HSD/GED and 3 years Restaurant Management, B2B or outside sales experience, or equivalent relatable experience
