Job Description
We are seeking a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse with a minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a telemetry unit, ensuring safety and comfort for patients during their stay. The nurse will work collaboratively with the care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit based on established protocols.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and medical conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
- Active Ohio RN license or Compact State License in hand.
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate test during orientation with acceptable scores.
