Join Drax as a Maintenance Technician where you'll be responsible for all maintenance activities on equipment in a wood production facility. You'll work in a supportive team environment, contributing to our mission of sustainable energy while ensuring operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Operate & maintain various equipment in a wood production facility
Anticipate and diagnose problems and perform mechanical maintenance
Perform routine administrative functions including inventory maintenance
Conduct housekeeping duties and maintain a clean work area
Monitor and optimize stock inventories of tooling and equipment
Collaborate with suppliers on quality issues
Inspect equipment and report damage or mechanical problems
Record operational data such as readings on meters and instruments
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years industrial experience
Ability to adapt to working within a team with minimal supervision
Maintain and adjust equipment to maximize production and minimize downtime
Professional attitude and ability to work well with others
Promote a safe working environment and follow safety procedures
Perform good housekeeping in the facility
Use daily checklists, PM’s and Work Orders for optimal performance
Microsoft Office proficient
Capable of mechanical tasks including bearing replacement and motor alignments
Basic rigging and welding knowledge
Multi-craft skills (electrical knowledge a plus)
Ability to work at heights or on elevated surfaces
