Job Description
City Year is an AmeriCorps program dedicated to ensuring that students across schools succeed. Our teams of AmeriCorps members provide essential support to students, classrooms, and entire schools, helping to prepare students with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in their communities.
In this rewarding position as a Student Success Coach and Mentor, you will focus on guiding and supporting elementary, middle, and/or high school students. Your mission will be to help students achieve academic success, improve their attendance, and foster positive behaviors in school.
Provide personalized academic coaching and mentoring to students in one-on-one and small group settings.
Collaborate with teachers and school staff to track and analyze student progress, participating in reviews of student data.
Help create a safe and engaging classroom space in partnership with educators.
Support school-wide initiatives that enhance student and family engagement.
Conduct and facilitate after-school programming, including academic enrichment, homework support, and student clubs.

S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
Hold at least a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with some college experience preferred.
Have not served more than three terms in an AmeriCorps program.
