The Radiology Technologist I is responsible for performing radiographic procedures requiring technical competency and a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology. This role involves applying ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes in both adult and pediatric settings, while also demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
Key Responsibilities
Perform radiographic procedures at a technical level
Apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in adult and/or pediatric radiology
Act with initiative and ingenuity with minimal supervision
Perform other duties as deemed necessary
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
