Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you will lead a dedicated team in providing critical veterinary care to underserved communities. You’ll have the opportunity to support both new and experienced veterinarians, ensuring every pet receives the highest quality care while also making a significant impact on animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery provided at the Community Veterinary Clinic
Train veterinarians in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter techniques
Support a positive work culture of respect and teamwork
Perform pre-surgery physical examinations and surgical procedures
Provide compassionate, quality preventive and basic care to patients
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
Preferred Qualifications
Previous people management experience strongly preferred
