Job Description

Raytheon is seeking a Principal RF Antenna and Sensor Range Engineer to lead the design and implementation of antenna and sensor systems in Tucson, AZ. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop antenna, radome, advanced sensor systems, and/or RCS ranges/chambers
  • Work with interdisciplinary engineering teams to define, analyze, simulate, implement, and evaluate requirements
  • Work with chamber/range equipment and service suppliers
  • Oversee implementation of new ranges/chambers

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 6 years of experience
  • Testing of antennas or radomes in a chamber or test range
  • Operation of an antenna, radome, and/or RCS chamber/range
  • Demonstrated knowledge of antenna and/or sensor measurement theory and range operation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Science (MS) or PhD in electrical engineering
  • Significant experience simulating/estimating propagation effects on antennas
  • Measurement of hardware for RCS
  • Experience specifying, building, and validating antenna, radome, and/or RCS ranges/chambers
  • Proficiency with Python, MATLAB and/or other high-level scientific programming languages
  • Proficiency with high performance computing environments (e.g., SLURM)
  • Proficiency with modeling & simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, CST, FEKO)
  • Experience designing and testing conformal antennas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to drive technical execution plans
  • Knowledgeable of management processes, such as Earned Value
  • Experience presenting in technical reviews
  • Understanding of near-field-to-far-field processing algorithms
  • Experience designing datalink, flight termination, telemetry, and/or GPS antenna systems
  • Experience as a Cost Account Manager or Integrated Product Team Lead
