Emergency Medicine Physician Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Anacortes, Washington

A facility is seeking an emergency medicine physician for locum tenens coverage. While in Anacortes, start your day by hiking in Washington Park, where you can explore scenic trails and take in panoramic views of the San Juan Islands. Afterward, head to Cap Sante Marina and embark on a whale-watching tour to catch a glimpse of the majestic orcas and other marine wildlife. This Emergency Medicine opportunity is open to Board Eligible or Board Certified EM or Family Practice physicians with required certifications in ATLS, ACLS, and PALS. The facility is seeking 1012 shifts per month for 36 months, with potential for extension. Both day and night shifts are needed, with shift times running 7a6p and 6p7a. The ED sees an annual patient volume of 17,500, averaging 2 patients per hour across 13 beds. APC coverage is provided from 11a7p. While there is no scribe support, some admitting orders are expected. The facility uses Meditech EMR, and temp privileges may be possible for providers with clean files. The nearest trauma center is Harborview in Seattle, located about 90 minutes away.
