Shift: Nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Setting: Acute Care

 

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sonographer to support ultrasound services in an acute care setting. The Sonographer will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including general, vascular, and OB/GYN exams, while maintaining patient comfort and safety. This role requires strong technical skills, clinical judgment, and the ability to work independently during night shifts.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental protocols
  • Ensure accurate patient positioning and image acquisition
  • Collaborate with Radiologists and medical staff to support diagnostic interpretation
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in the EMR system
  • Provide safe, compassionate patient care and maintain professional communication
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of ultrasound equipment
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Sonographer experience in an acute care setting
  • ARDMS or ARRT (Sonography) certification required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA)
  • Proficiency in General, Vascular, and OB/GYN ultrasound
  • Strong communication and patient-care skills
