Registered Nurse - ICU/ MICU -
Shift Detail: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Weekend Rotating
Call Requirements: No
Guaranteed Hours: 36
Special Skills/Experience required: 2 years +
All candidates are required to float,
Floating policy: As needed
Must have: General ICU experience.
Titration of drips
2+ Years of Hospital Experience
BLS ACLS NIH Required Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first) Neuro ICU experience, assessment skills CABG, CRRT, Prisma Flex, Meditech Experience
Preferred Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN) Active TX RN License ONLY- temp License will not be accepted
Unit Specifics -
Number of Beds: 12
Patient Ratios: 2:1 (3:1 if low acuity)
Type of equipment: Common to ICU
Documentation system: Meditech
Procedures performed on unit: A-line, Central Lines, Chest Tubes, Cardioversion, paracentesis
Scrub Color RN: Navy-scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket
Nail Policy Clean and Healthy
Hair -hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed
Tattoos Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually Piercings Visible piercings other than ears, is prohibited.
