Schedule

Day shift - 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, with 4-5 weekend shifts within a 6-week matrix.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will operate in the Operating Room, providing essential support during surgical procedures. The role requires proficiency in multiple surgical specialties, including Robotics, Orthopedics, General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Bariatrics, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, and Thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart). The nurse will also scrub and circulate in various surgeries and must be prepared for possible COVID patient care.

Responsibilities

• Function independently in multiple surgical specialties.
• Participate in the surgical team by scrubbing and circulating.
• Be prepared to handle a variety of patient cases, including trauma and general surgeries.
• Respond to emergency situations as required, including code responses.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room.
• Level II Trauma experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Proficiency with the Davinci Xi robot; familiarity with the DV5 Davinci robot is a plus.
• Teaching hospital experience is required.
