This role is for a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Radiology, providing patient care and support during radiological procedures in a Brooklyn hospital setting. The nurse administers treatments such as intravenous fluids and sedation, monitors patient vital signs, and communicates patient status with the medical team. Candidates must have at least two years of Med/Surg Radiology experience, an RN license, and certifications including BLS and ACLS, with a contract duration of 13 weeks.
Soloh Partners is seeking a travel nurse RN Radiology for a travel nursing job in Brooklyn, New York.
Position: RN - Radiology
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Pay Rate: $64/HR
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8-430pm (No Weekends)
Duties:
-Serving as a liaison between the patient and the medical team.
-Preparing patients for a procedure.
-Starting intravenous fluids to inject special dyes or contrast mediums into patients.
-Administering barium enemas or solutions before procedures.
-Monitoring a patient's vital signs or their status during procedures to identify changes.
-Identifying unexpected reactions in patients during procedures.
-Administering analgesia and sedating patients upon instruction.
-Updating the medical staff on a patient's status.
-Reassessing patients after procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg Radiology experience in a large acute care hospital setting. The most recent experience should be within the past year.
- Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institute.
- Self-Assessment Skills Checklist and Specialty Exam for Med/Surg.
- New York State RN License & Primary Source Verification.
- AHA BLS. -AHA ACLS.
