Position Summary:

We’re seeking a Travel Registered Nurse for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting in Dallas, TX . This RN will play a key role in both clinical care and operational leadership at a Neuro Transitional Center, helping individuals with brain and spinal cord injuries recover in a home-like, rehabilitative environment.

Working alongside the Rehab Residential Manager, you’ll help ensure patients receive high-quality, person-centered care, while also maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with operations to ensure compliance with HHSC ALF Licensure, CARF , and other regulatory standards.

  • Manage and audit medical documentation, including weekly MAR checks and EHR entry of physician orders.

  • Provide direct patient care and manage PRN medical concerns to maintain patient stability.

  • Serve as a communication liaison with physicians and interdisciplinary teams regarding patient safety and medical status.

  • Oversee emergency preparedness, including drills, documentation, and training feedback.

  • Participate in training, supervision, and ongoing competency assessments for residential care staff.

  • Ensure residential staff adhere to treatment plans, activity schedules, and documentation procedures.

  • Support operations by maintaining medical inventory and supplies.

  • Participate in patient/family meetings, staffing, admissions, and environmental rounds.

  • Investigate incident reports and follow up on issues as assigned.

  • Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours staff support.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Residential Manager.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in rehabilitation nursing , LTAC , or neuro transitional care

  • Experience leading or training direct care staff

  • Proficiency in EHR systems and medication management

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Previous travel nurse experience preferred
