Job Description

Join Drax as an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician and play a vital role in maintaining electrical systems that support renewable energy production. Be part of a team dedicated to a sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspects, tests, adjusts, calibrates, and repairs electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems
  • Maintains a functional knowledge of operations software and hardware
  • Troubleshoots electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures
  • Completes work order cycles and enters equipment history
  • Cleans, lubricates, calibrates, and adjusts equipment as needed
  • Installs and places electrical equipment into service

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years industrial maintenance experience
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers, Servo and Frequency Drives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical degree
