Key Responsibilities
Conduct emergency psychiatric assessments
Advocate and plan discharge for patients
Facilitate treatment processes and crisis interventions
Coordinate care with Emergency Department staff
Document assessments and case management activities
Initiate treatment plans for longer stay patients
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy
Minimum of two years' experience in a psychiatric setting
Current CT license: LCSW, LMFT, or LPC
Computer proficient
Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Four years' experience in a psychiatric setting, preferably in an emergency department/crisis role
Experience with quality and safety initiatives
Cultural competence in healthcare
