Job Description
Join Whole Foods Market as a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Team Manager to lead a dedicated team in maintaining high food safety and quality standards in a dynamic production environment. Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operations of the FSQA team
Establish a culture prioritizing food safety and quality
Design and manage quality assurance programs
Develop and enforce quality standards
Oversee environmental monitoring and sanitation programs
Act as liaison for internal and external food safety issues
Maintain documentation and records of quality assurance activities
Handle food safety crises and product recalls
Interview, select, train, and manage performance of Team Members
Collaborate on Team Member relations and compliance with regulations
Required Qualifications
BA/BS degree in food science, microbiology, animal sciences, or a related field preferred
2+ years of FSQA facility experience within a food production environment
12+ months of supervisory FSQA experience in the food manufacturing industry
Proven track record of success in an FSQA leadership role
Ability to develop, implement, and manage food safety and quality assurance programs
Experience in conducting internal and external audits
Proficiency in analyzing data from quality tests
Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
PCQI and HACCP certified
Basic understanding of ERP processes within a food manufacturing environment
Ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders
