Key Responsibilities
Assists with preparing and providing instruments during surgical procedures
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of equipment and supplies
Adheres to aseptic techniques and safety standards
Performs instrument, needle, and sponge counts
Prepares sterile fields and assists with patient monitoring
Handles and routes surgical specimens correctly
Restocks and inventories instruments across hospital departments
Required Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED required
Current BLS required at time of hire
Working knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique
Preferred Qualifications
Short-term training in operating room setting preferred
Previous experience with handling of sterile supplies and/or instruments preferred
