Key Responsibilities
Performs pre-transplant clinical activities to ensure patients are assessed and prepared for procedures
Performs clinical activities including rounds, direct patient care, and lab/test data reviews and interpretations
Performs post-transplant clinical activities to ensure patients receive appropriate aftercare
Educates patients and colleagues on transplant procedures
Acts as a consultant, role model, and resource person for transplant team members, nursing staff, students, and residents
Supervises, trains and develops department staff
Participates in activities for professional growth
Adapts behavior to the specific patient population
Required Qualifications
Registered nurse diploma
3 years of related experience
Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Current American Board of Transplant Coordinators (ABTC) Certification as Clinical Transplant Coordinator
