Key Responsibilities
Establish and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers
Make in-person visits and presentations to customers
Take customer orders with sales goals in mind
Participate in order input and communication with inside sales partners
React to customer problems and needs in a timely manner
Review and implement solutions for daily out of stocks and transportation issues
Analyze sales and margin reports for improvement opportunities
Participate in training and customer events
Develop relationships with accounts payable contacts
Coordinate communication between accounts payable and account receivable managers
Update bid files and customer profiles for pricing accuracy
Required Qualifications
High School diploma
2-year prior food service and/or sales background
Preferred Qualifications
4-year degree in culinary arts, business, marketing, agriculture/animal science or related studies
Deep expertise of meat and seafood category or restaurant/culinary background
