Job Description
Join Columbia Mental Health as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, where you will provide culturally sensitive outpatient therapy and develop individualized treatment plans to support client healing and resilience, all within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families
Provide tailored outpatient individual and family therapy
Participate in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning
Ensure timely completion of billing, documentation, and individualized treatment plans
Engage in collaborative care with a multidisciplinary team
Required Qualifications
Master’s or doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field
Current and active professional license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LCP) in Virginia and/or Maryland or eligibility for licensure by time of hire
Passionate about mental health and committed to providing high-quality care
Dedicated to ongoing professional development in mental health including continuing education
Eager to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Strong commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality
Excellent communication skills
Ability to manage time effectively
