The Cardiovascular/Interventional Technologist performs vascular procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. CCSS: The Cardiovascular Technologists assumes responsibility for interpreting diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the Heart Cath Lab in order that data be obtained and entered into the CCSS database. Performing vascular procedures independent of supervision of technical quality, assist in completion of reports of various reports, development policy and procedures, charge sheets, patient requisition in a timely manner; administration of contrast material according to order, selection of equipment, and assisting physicians as needed.
