Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive surgical care, including elective and emergency procedures
Demonstrate commitment to the delivery of safe, equitable, high-quality, cost-effective, patient-centered care
Participate as a core faculty member in the ACGME-accredited Surgery residency program
Support and contribute to processes for curriculum development, and resident and program evaluation
Engage in scholarly activity
Foster a culture of mentorship, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
Board-certified in General Surgery
Minimum of 3-5 years post-residency clinical experience
Demonstrated experience in medical education, including resident teaching and program operations
Eligible for medical licensure in Illinois
Preferred Qualifications
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Demonstrated ongoing clinical activity
Demonstrated ongoing scholarly activity
