Job Description
Join Chesapeake Oncology Hematology Associates as a Patient Accounts Representative, where you'll leverage your expertise in healthcare billing to manage patient accounts, ensure compliance, and provide exceptional customer service. Be a vital part of our team, ensuring accurate financial transactions while supporting our patients.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate a solid working knowledge of insurance processes, including deductibles, out-of-pockets, and copays
Accurately record payments received from patients and insurance companies
Conduct regular reviews of patient accounts to identify discrepancies
Interact with patients and their families to address billing inquiries
Initiate collection efforts for past-due accounts
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all interactions and transactions
Ensure strict compliance with healthcare billing regulations
Generate regular reports on accounts receivable status and billing performance
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role within healthcare finance or billing
Strong understanding of insurance processes and healthcare billing regulations
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficient in relevant software applications for billing and financial record-keeping
