Job Description

The Director of Operations oversees the agency's real estate portfolio, ensuring efficient and safe property operations across New York City. This role involves managing teams, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of agency properties across five NYC boroughs
  • Monitor sysaid tickets and ensure high service levels
  • Manage and mentor area managers and handyman teams
  • Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing contractors
  • Ensure life safety compliance and regulatory adherence
  • Develop performance metrics for operational effectiveness
  • Implement process improvements for efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years working as a tradesperson
  • 5 years of managerial experience
  • Knowledge of technical building systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a hybrid role with field and office responsibilities
  • Familiarity with life safety system requirements
  • Ability to develop and analyze performance metrics
  • Experience managing large real estate portfolios
