Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join our team for a 13-week assignment in a leading acute care facility. The ideal candidate will assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions through various catheterization procedures. This role involves operating specialized imaging equipment, monitoring patients during procedures, and maintaining a sterile and safe environment within the cardiac catheterization lab.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and other related procedures.
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
  • Operate and monitor specialized imaging and diagnostic equipment.
  • Record and interpret hemodynamic data accurately.
  • Maintain sterile techniques and ensure compliance with infection control standards.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and provide immediate response to any adverse reactions.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
  • Document all procedures, patient data, and outcomes using the facility’s EMR system.
  • Maintain and ensure readiness of all Cath Lab equipment and supplies.
Skills and Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist in an acute care setting.
  • Proficiency in EpicCare Inpatient EMR preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and catheterization techniques.
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings.
Certifications and Licensure:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required
