Job Description
Join San Juan Regional Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse Specialist Director, where you'll lead clinical and administrative initiatives to improve patient care in the Behavioral Health Unit. Key Responsibilities
Uses expert knowledge regarding the health care needs of individuals, families, and the community
Collaborates with other health care team members with complex care patients and clinical challenges
Carries out specialty specific therapeutic regimens in accordance with evidence-based care standards
Leads quality and outcome improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Ensures patients and families receive discharge education on disease prevention and management
Provides leadership in nursing practice and serves as a role model for other registered nurses
Develops policies and procedures to enhance clinical practices
Understands health care economics and public policy
Demonstrates strong financial aptitude and business planning abilities
Identifies opportunities for program development in in-patient and clinic settings
Knowledgeable in recruitment and interviewing techniques

Required Qualifications
Masters Degree
Current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing of New Mexico or compact (multi-state) license
Clinical Nurse Specialist Certification
Previous CNS experience in specialty specific patient care and evidence-based practice
Previous Management experience
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Demonstration of effective interpersonal skills
Self-motivation and accountability
Team oriented
Preferred Qualifications
Board certification in nursing leadership (i.e., CNML, CENP, or NE-BC)
