Key Responsibilities
Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders
Identify the presence or absence of disease using knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Assist physicians with invasive echocardiography examinations
Modify procedures to meet special circumstances
Comply with standards set by the American Society of Echocardiography
Required Qualifications
Oregon Sonographer
National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Applied Science from a CAAHPE accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography
1 year of experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations or minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available
Pediatric echocardiography experience
Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices)
Experience with echo guided trans-catheter procedures
