Job Description

Join Monmouth Medical Center as a Radiation Oncology Physicist, where you'll oversee critical quality control processes, ensuring accurate dose delivery and compliance with safety regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Assists Chief Physicist in meeting NJ State and NRC regulations for patient treatment and safety
  • Assists Dosimetrists in treatment planning and calculations
  • Conducts yearly and monthly calibrations of Linear Accelerators
  • Plans and performs HDR brachytherapy cases
  • Verifies treatment parameters in patient charts
  • Collaborates with Chief Physicist, Dosimetrists, and physicians on treatment problems
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Radiation Science, Health Physics, Physics or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in a clinical Radiation Therapy Department
  • Eligible for ABR certification in related Medical physics specialty
