Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician and ensure our outside plant facilities operate at peak efficiency. You'll be responsible for the installation and maintenance of various types of outside plant, requiring a mix of technical skills and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant including various types of cables and poles
Connecting wires and cables to terminals
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft
Working evenings, weekends, and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state drivers license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
