Join Disneyland Resort's Architecture & Facilities Engineering team as a Senior Architect, where you'll lead diverse projects from concept to execution, ensuring they meet Disney's high standards. This role offers the opportunity to influence the architectural direction and work collaboratively with a talented design team.
Key Responsibilities
Act as Owner’s Representative for design management of external resources
Review project concepts with stakeholders and determine necessary teams
Develop scopes of work and create RFPs for external Architects/Engineers
Manage design and development of construction drawings and specifications
Lead design reviews and meetings throughout the design process
Coordinate responses to city plan check comments and questions
Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and statutes
Provide guidance to support executive decisions
Required Qualifications
9+ years professional experience working in Architecture
Professional design experience in a wide range of project types and construction types
Familiarity with all phases of design and construction practices and standards
Construction Administration experience including site observation visits and review of RFIs and Submittals
Direct experience in preparation of architectural contract drawings and specifications
Knowledge and experience with creating code analysis summaries including life safety plans
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Airtable, and Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with California Building Code, health codes, CalOSHA, and the Americans with Disabilities Act
Experience developing custom details to support unique facility design conditions
Experience presenting complex analyses and issues to executive management
Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously
