Key Responsibilities
Become the Pit Master with dedication to smoked meat
Interact with guests to create an engaging environment
Ensure smokehouse staff provides friendly service
Engage guests with freshly prepared Smokehouse samples
Demonstrate superior guest service at all times
Operate the department according to strict standards
Maintain product quality and sanitation standards
Provide guidance and training to Smokehouse staff
Perform product preparation, receiving, and stocking
Maintain HACCP product information logs
Perform light meat cutting duties as needed
Perform PA announcements
Required Qualifications
Friendly, energetic and outgoing personality
Ability to actively engage guests
Willingness to perform in front of large crowd
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally
Must be at least 18 years old
Effective communication, guest service and selling skills
Preferred Qualifications
Previous meat cutting/trimming experience
Previous Culinary knowledge and/or background
Knowledge of deli as well as meat department operations
Ability to supervise people including training and development
