Position: Interventional Radiology RN (IR RN) 

Location: Concord, MA
Specialty: Interventional Radiology (IR)
Shift: 4x10s (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM)
Schedule: Monday - Friday with a variable day off
Contract: 13 weeks with possible extension

Call Requirement:

• Rotating call schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM, and weekends (Sat/Sun) 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM.
• Holiday and weekend coverage as needed.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) to join our team. In this role, you will provide critical nursing care to a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adult, geriatric, and acutely ill patients. You will be integral in assisting with complex procedures, managing patient emergencies, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor patients under conscious sedation.
• Recognize and assist in the treatment of adverse contrast reactions.
• Intervene effectively in emergency situations during radiological procedures.
• Assist radiologists with special procedures, including biopsies, angiograms, and drain placements.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital sign monitoring and EKG interpretation.
• Provide patient and family education on procedures and post-procedure care.
• Ensure strict compliance with patient identification, safety, and privacy protocols.
• Document patient status and all nursing interventions accurately.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• License: Active Massachusetts RN License
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS (Required)
• Experience: 3-5 years of nursing experience; Critical Care or ER experience is strongly preferred.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in physical assessment, aseptic technique, and advanced IV skills.
  • Experience with special equipment: cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators.
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency for documentation.

Candidate under 50 miles can also applied at local rate ($55-$64 per hour-Negotiable).
