Position Summary:

VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physicist - Radiation Oncology to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading $facility_type$ in Flagstaff, AZ. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform medical radiation physics duties in radiation oncology setting
• Conduct external beam radiation therapy (teletherapy) procedures
• Implement intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) treatments
• Provide radiation safety oversight and precautions
• Work with inpatient and outpatient oncology patients
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Utilize Cerner charting system for documentation
• Complete required compliance documentation within specified deadlines
• Complete orientation modules and training programs during first week
• Provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Float to other units or affiliate hospitals based on census and facility needs
• Complete required laboratory testing within 72 hours of contract signing
• Maintain low dose and high dose radiation licenses
• Adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards
• Provide minimum of 2 professional references from recent employment
• Complete background checks and state-specific releases as required
• Maintain valid state licensure and certifications

Job Requirements:

• Active, unencumbered license in AZ
• Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
• Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
• Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)

Other Required Documentation:

• Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
• Two current clinical references
• State-required professional license
• Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
• TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
• Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
• Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
• Must pass background check and drug screening
