• The role is related to supporting the company's legacy ERP system which manages their Multi – billion dollar agriculture and trading business.

• The role requires expertise in technologies such as SmallTalk, Sybase, C++, Perl, and stored procedures.

• The role is a combination of development/enhancements and support/bug fixes, with a focus on testing and upgrades to the environment.

Skills:

• Experience in SmallTalk Programming

• Expertise in Sybase database technology

• Proficiency in the C++ programming language

• Experience with Perl programming and stored procedures

• Experience ERP systems and its underlying technologies

• Understanding of commodity trading and agriculture business processes (Nice to have)

• Ability to support and maintain a complex, mission-critical legacy system

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Experience with software testing and system upgrades

Key responsibilities include:

 Development and enhancements to the system, often driven by regulatory changes or reporting needs

 Bug fixes and support for the system, including a consistent schedule of upgrades every 6 months

 Testing and troubleshooting the system

Role Value, Environment, and Impact:

• The role is critical to supporting the company's $30 billion agriculture and trading business, as the legacy ERP system is the core system managing these operations.

• The role is part of a team that is transitioning the company to a new SAP-based ERP system, but the legacy system will need to be maintained for at least 2-5 more years.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
