Paperwork Deadline:
All paperwork is due Wednesday at NOON (MST) the week before the start date.
Permanent Address Requirement:
Must reside at least 25 miles from the facility location.
Experience Requirements
- Must Have:
- EP Lab experience (at least 1 year scrub experience in a sterile EP lab)
- Experience circulating and monitoring in EP procedures
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
Department Overview
- # of Suites/Labs: 1
- Average Cases/Day: 3–4
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
Common Diagnoses / Procedures
- Ablations: Atrial Fibrillation, Atrial Flutter, Ventricular Tachycardia (VT)
- Device Implants: ICDs, Pacemakers, Bi-V ICDs, Watchman
- EP Studies
Job Duties
- Circulate and Monitor EP procedures
- Scrub in as needed (preferred skill)
- Maintain sterile technique and assist in complex electrophysiology cases
Technology / Equipment
- EMR: Epic
- Hemodynamic Monitoring: MacLab / Cardiolab
- Mapping System: Biosense Webster
Staffing Structure
- Manager/Charge Nurse: Cath Lab Coordinator
- Cath Lab Techs: Paramedics, EMTs, or Radiology Technologists
- Cardiologist Coverage:
- In lab during the day
- Half call after hours
- In clinic on off days
Shifts & Scheduling
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 0700–1730 (4x10s)
- Education Day: Friday (Travelers expected to attend)
- Self/Block Scheduling: Not specified
Call Requirements
- Weeknight Call: 3 call nights per month (1700–0700)
- Weekend Call: 1 full weekend (Friday–Sunday)
- Holiday Call: Included in 4-person call rotation
- Response Time: 20 minutes
Floating Requirements
- No floating to IR
- May float to Cath Lab to circulate or monitor as needed
Dress Code
- Scrubs Provided by the facility
Orientation
- Duration: 1 week on the unit following onboarding
Additional Notes
- EP procedures currently performed Monday and Thursday
- Facility also has an interventionalist capable of performing select procedures
