Job Description
As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support and guidance to Sailors and Marines, conducting worship services, counseling, and overseeing religious education. This role allows you to be a source of encouragement during critical moments in service members' lives.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in various settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings and funerals
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs
Visit and provide spiritual guidance to hospitalized personnel and families
Train lay leaders for religious education programs
Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
