Job Description
Join EOSIS as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and use your personal recovery journey to guide others facing addiction and mental health challenges. This role allows you to make a meaningful impact while providing support and resources to those on their recovery paths.
Key Responsibilities
Handle logistics for patient arrival and departure
Work closely with program administrators and discharge staff
Assist in creating and implementing social activities
Connect patients with community resources
Support patients in re-integrating with family and communities
Serve as a patient advocate
Assist counselors with calls as needed
Perform Recovery Specialist duties at residential facilities
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age or older
Peer Recovery Specialist Certification through the MN Certification Board
High school diploma or equivalent
Ongoing supervision by an alcohol and drug counselor
Minimum of one year in recovery
Ability to work independently
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
Basic computer skills
