Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients
Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education to patients
Monitor and observe patients during surgery
Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication
Serve as a communication liaison between patients' family members and the operating team
Ensure correct procedures are performed on the correct patient
Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physicians
Required Qualifications
BLS certification
1-2 years recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse or scrub nurse
Preferred Qualifications
RN first assistant experience
Additional certifications as required
