Job Description

As an Army General Surgeon, you'll lead a premier military health care team, providing innovative surgical care to Soldiers and their families. You'll engage in groundbreaking medical practices while benefiting from exceptional training and leadership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine, diagnose, consult, and prescribe courses of treatment
  • Perform surgeries for Soldiers, retirees, and their family members
  • Participate in continued education programs and seminars
  • Collaborate with fellow general surgeons for patient benefit

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school
  • Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico
  • Completed at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
  • Completed a training program in general surgery
