Job Description
Join Monmouth Medical Center as a Material Management Specialist, where you will oversee procurement activities, manage vendor relationships, and ensure effective inventory management for emergency services. This role is vital in maintaining operational efficiency and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Arrange with vendors for the replacement of defective items and/or arrange for credit on returned items
Assist with special projects as assigned
Conduct vendor interviews to audit vendor performance and resolve issues
Consult with appropriate technical areas of the ED regarding accurate specifications and quantities of procured items
Contribute to cost containment and product standardization
Ensure timely and economic procurement of all supplies, equipment, and services for medical center Emergency services
Monitor and adjust par levels in ED and Express Care areas
Manage ED inventory levels consistent with accurate usage data and lead times from suppliers
Reconcile invoices with Accounts Payables
Responsible for budget tracking and management reporting
Review open purchase orders for overdue shipments and back orders
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Three to five years Emergency Services/Materials management experience
Three to five years purchasing, data collection and reporting experience
Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS degree
