Job Description
Join Kaiser as a Licensed Masters Mental Health Professional specializing in Child Psychiatry. You will provide mental health assessments, develop treatment programs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care for children facing mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and evaluate clinical treatment programs for members with mental illness
Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups
Instruct patients and families on compliance with therapeutic regimens
Prepare intake summaries, treatment plans, and maintain confidential records
Collaborate with physicians on patient evaluations for psychotropic medications
Supervise Post Masters Fellows or Associate Clinical staff as needed
Utilize community resources for member treatment
Participate in departmental program development and evaluation
Required Qualifications
Masters degree in Social Work, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California) OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California) OR Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California)
National Provider Identifier required at hire
Familiarity with DSM-V for diagnosis
Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of social service agencies and state regulations related to patient treatment and confidentiality
Competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy
Preferred Qualifications
Previous post-license experience in a psychiatric treatment team
Experience in crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy
Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity
Commitment to quality of service and teamwork in a multidisciplinary clinic
