Key Responsibilities
Conduct evaluations and provide interventions for residents and patients
Evaluate abilities of residents/patients and develop realistic therapy goals
Document resident's/patient’s information for evaluation and establish therapeutic plans
Provide education designed to enhance understanding and improve functional outcomes
Incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment
Provide ongoing education and training to peers in the area(s) of expertise
Required Qualifications
Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state(s) of practice
Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment
Preferred Qualifications
Certification through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
Valid driver's license
Temporary license for new graduates in process of testing with the board
